Could some one please give me any information on the Dollough name? there is a record of a William McYlrea, son of John de Dollough, baptized, the 11 Nov. 1627
and then a PROTEST OF WILLIAM McYLREA that states ... William McYlrea, The Dollough, retained the favour of the Stanleys and was appointed Captain of Ballaugh. In the next three genera-tions the Dollough family produced two Deemsters and an Attorney-General. My name follows back to a Christian Dolloff(one of many spellings) in Exeter, New Hampshire, USA at about 1658-9. He would have been about 19-20 years old at that time. We don't know how he got here or where he came from. This 'Dollough' family name is about as close as we've come and the Isle of Man could possibly fit other rumors about this Christian Dolloff. If anyone could help I would sure be thankful.
