Cunningham Porter O'Brien and family lived at 'Grange' Lezayre (1841 census). Their son Jonathan was in Liverpool with his maternal grandfather Jonathan Roose in the 1841 census. Jonathan Porter O'Brien emigrated to Australia in 1849 and built a house called 'Barwon Grange' in Geelong Victoria. 'Barwon Grange' is now a National Trust property and I'm the Property Manager. Perhaps Jonathan named his home in Australia after his boyhood home on the Isle of Mann.
Does the Grange still exist in Lezayre?
Are there any Lezayre school records or any other information which would place Jonathan O'Brien living in Lezayre during the 1830s?
We would be absolutely rapt to find a connection and have a photo of the Grange Lezayre. Hope someone out there can help.
