Free BMD claims 100% coverage of Births in 1885: - no Beatrice Carson found and the only Eliza Carson b. near Manchester 1884-1886 was either 1885 Mar Q Chorlton, 8c 795 or 1885 Sep Q Oldham 8d 659. Birth Certificates can be ordered online from GRO; there is a link on the "free BMD" site.
I would go for the Chorlton one, because it covered the Manchester area immediately south of the city (Hulme , etc).
