Some years ago I had an American daughter-in -law. She had been told by her grandmother that there was American Indian blood in her ancestry. Daron told me that if she could prove that she had an Indian strain then all of the University education for her two children (by another marriage) would be paid for! I do not know if that is true, but it could be a good reason for American citizens to claim the connection?
