I'm descended from these Walkingtons too!I have Nich. W. (can't find Ch.date) married Margt CORLETT 14 Sep 1762 in Malew. They had:- Thomas and Eliz, both ch 25 Sep 1763;
Marg, ch 2 Feb 1768;
Mary, ch 17 Jun 1770;
Nicholas, ch 4 Oct 1772;
Anne, ch 7 Ap 1775;
Edward ch 18 Jan 1778 ( my gt gr'f x 4);
Jane ch 15 Oct 1780 ( All Malew)

Interestingly I found (on Manx Notebook - Thanks Frances!) details about Nicholas being a soldier at Castle Rushen in 1765 and an Edward who was a Drummer at Castle Rushen in 1720 and 1740 (his father/brother?) . There was also a James who was a drummer in 1700.
'My'(!) Edward married Jane Corrin 7/17 Nov 1801, Malew.

They had Edward, my gr. gr'f x3, ch 17 Ap 1803; Jane ch 27 Jan 1805 and Thomas ch 6 Jul 1806.

I have a lot of info' from the censuses etc. re Ed and Thos. I think Jane died in Ap. 1805. If either of you would like what I have, please let me know.

I spent a week on the Island in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have photos of Malew Church, inside and out, if you would like them.
