"A new book could help people pronounce the Isle of Man's more tricky place names.
A Dictionary of Manx Place-names by George Broderick combines information on the history which gave rise to them, and a pronunciation guide provided mainly by the farming community.
The book also includes parish maps and pictures of signs and churches.
Mr Broderick says its inevitable place names will change"
How new is this? I thought it had been around for a while. I assume this is/will be available at most Manx bookshops including the one at the Manx Museum.....
