A qualified yes, although it is impossible to prove from the records as all Killip ancestral lines seem to go back to the Ballaugh/Lezayre area and the records run out before a common ancestor can be identified. We could prove common paternal ancestry through genetic analysis, but at the moment it is too expensive to undertake a DNA survey of all male Killip lines.
