Re: Sandy Callin
In Response To: Re: Sandy Callin ()

Hello,

An interesting addition to this story is that Louisa "Lucy" Callin married second, February 17, 1906, William Henry "Harry" Quayle. Harry and Lucy Quayle emigrated to the United States in 1914 with their children Sandy Callin, Mabel Callin, and Harry Quayle, to Ishpeming, Michigan. Harry Quayle, sr., died in the Barnes-Hecker mining disaster in Ishpeming in 1926. This was one of the worst mining disasters in Michigan. Thus, Lucy lost two husbands to mining disasters.

Lucy was the daughter of Robert Kelly and his wife Mary Ann Kelly, bp at Lonan, February 22, 1874, and died in Ishpeming in 1958.
