I am stuck trying to trace my g.gfather John James Callin. He appears in the 1881 census, b.1831, at 2 Ballamillgen Cottages, Lonan, but his wife Jane is a widow in the 1891 census.He is possibly the John Callin closeby at Baljean, Lonan in the 1871 census, but with an earlier wife, Ellen, and an age discrepancy(b.1841).
Is anyone able to look up his death/burial, probably in Lonan,1885-1891, which might reveal his real age? He was the father of Sandy Callin, one of those who died in the mine disaster.
