My dad was born in Barrow in furness,in 1920.both parents came from the isle of man,and went to Barrow to have him? this was out of wedlock.My dad often talked about staying in Castletown,and going to school thier.and always pointed out the house he had stayed in,this was the front of the brewery,not much was said about this time.Mother was Catherine Langston[nee Campbell,Father was John William Cain.
John also had a son,George Henry Cain,he stayed in barrow [shipyards]? he was 14 when my dad was born.
