Very interesting info re Handford connection.
Catherine was in fact born in Liverpool 1860 and her brother George was my grandfather.
His father was Joseph Handford born in Sheepy Magna 1832. I have info on that line.
George had a number of children including Dorothy my mother.
Catherines mother Mary Ann Flood moved to Liverpool after her marriage to Joseph and she had 11 children but I do not recognise Robert or Margaret.
A brother of Mary Ann - Samuel b 1835 is shown in the 1851 census as an apprentice tailor living in a poor house (The House of Industry) and went on to thrive in Liverpool
Any more onfo on the origins of Samuel b about 1810 or Elizabeth Cowle b about 1800 would be welcome Regards Peter
