Florence's first marriage was in 1887 to Alfred Moore. He died quite soon after and she married Robert Young in January 1890. She says Thomas is alive at the first marriage(unless the registrar omitted the "deceased") but was dead by the second. She had obviously been told that Thomas was her father and as she was born in 1867, I can only assume he must have still been alive then, otherwise her mother wouldn't have been able to pass her off as Thomas's. My grandmother once told me that Florence had spoken of her father being buried at Port Erin. I know there isn't any graveyard there and it would have been Rushen for that area but as i said, the only Thomas Miller was married with children and I can't get him to fit with any of my dates or details. If he was buried on the IOM, he must appear somewhere!
