I am looking at a 1851 Census
German District 2b Folio 193 Schedule 6

Am wondering if this John Shimmin is the son of Philip Shimmin & Catherine Quine

Am wondering what Ellinors surname is, when viewing IGI she is just listed as Ellinor Shimmin (am wondering if it actually is Shimmin or not)

I also am wondering from viewing IGI if it is common that even if the census show place of birth as German if it would be uncommon to have them christened as IGI states as Patrick, which is how Philip, Charles , & James are listed. Eliza & Ellinor christenings match with census.
