Philip's father Philip Crellin appears to have died of smallpox, and was buried in Maughold aged 30 on Mar 10 1830. This would explain why he and Jane Corkill had only two children b.1828 and 1830, and why Philip aged 10 was living with his Corkill grandparents at the time of the 1841 census at Ballagorry.

William CORKILL aged 77, B.Gorrey, was buried 16 Jul 1855. He and Catharine Kelly married in Maughold 10 May 1800.

Daniel Looney & Jane Crellin, Widower & widow, married in Maughold 12 Mar 1840.
Jane LOONEY aged 83 yrs of Ballagorey Moar, Maughold, was buried Oct 22 1882.

The IGI has two bapts around the right age to be her first husband Philip Crellin, aged 30 in 1830. One in Douglas in Feb. 1798, but the most likely was 20 July 1800, Ramsey, son of Patrick Crellin & Elizabeth TEAR.

Patrick Crellin & Elizabeth Tear married in Maughold on 20 Feb 1787. Patrick from Braddan.
Their first two children were bapt at St Mathews, Douglas, and the next five, including Philip, in Ramsey.
