Am wondering then if this Thomas came to the USA after he married Ann Kinsman in England, I have a Thomas Shimmin in the USA with Ann Kinsman in the late 1830's to early 1840's who settled in Illinois during this time.

Am thinking this Thomas is the Uncle of William Moore and Anne Moore who married Robert Watt (Ann Moore and Willaim Moore's parents were Thomas Moore & ann Shimmin) and came to the USA on 12 Jun 1844, just unable to find a link to verify.
