I have a 1947 copy of an 1894 marriage certificate. Something not on the certificate is the date of birth for either of the couple, only the age is included. This makes me wonder if dob is something that was actually enterred onto the marriage registers?

Also do death certs/burial registers tend to give dob of the deceased?

More specifically I'm trying to find a dob for an Edward Watterson age 37, buried 24 Nov 1889 at Arbory. Married to ELEANOR ANN SKELLEY 17 SEP 1874 Kirk Rushen.
