My great-great-great grandfather was also named John Crebbin. He was born in 1823 on the Isle of Man. He moved to Liverpool as a young man where he married his wife Ellen Hays. In 1851 the family moved to America and settled in New Orleans, where he and his sons engaged in a Shipwright business.

The children were:
John Hayes Crebbin born 1849 Liverpool
Alfred William Crebbin born 1854 New Orleans
Maggie Elizabeth Crebbin 1858 New Orleans

I am related to Alfred William Crebbin

Because the names and profession of my family members are similar to yours, I was wondering if you have run across information linking mine and yours together.

I would very much like to learn where on the Isle of Man they might have come from.
