Strangely enough, I only just managed to avoid the Summerland disaster aswell. My family all decided to visit my grandparents and all went to Summerland in the daytime-at the last minute-so that the kids could enjoy it aswell. I remember sitting with my babysitter and listening to the news on the tv and thinking that my mum and dad were there. They'd actually diverted-no point going twice in one day!-and gone elsewhere. My auntie and uncle,however, did go. My cousin had actually changed back into his clothes when he saw the first "flame go up like a candle".!
