I have no Shimmin records ...even in my family tree.

I can offer a helping hand... have you tried the L.D.S. web-site www.familysearch.org this is the first step / second step use their library services / they are very good. But then check against Isle of Man or anywhere parish records...you can order the films from thier librarys for a small fee.
