I'm sure the Interment camp was on Lock Promenade. As a young boy I remember the barbed wire strung between the two tram tracks.
For years afterwards you could still see the square patches on the road where the support poles had been.
My mother tells me that north of Broadway some of the houses were requistioned for Offical purposes but not sure of the details. I remember by father working on them when they were rehabilitated - in particular the Alexandra.
