Re: James Maddrell of Rushen
In Response To: Re: James Maddrell of Rushen ()

Donna,
The inventory should be on the film with the petition/will. It probably was rather long and not transcribed. The film can be ordered and viewed at a local Family History Center, where you can make a copy of the petition and inventory.
I need to review about a dozen wills over the next 12 months. Unfortunately the local Family History Center in New York has been without copying facilities for the last three months.
The information that I have, but of which I am not yet certain, is as follows:
1. John Maddrell & Elizabeth Corrin married 1713. This information is from a LDS member submission, not a parish record. There are wills in films 0106376 (1741), 0106220 (1751), 0106386 (1762), 0106387 (1764), 0106393 (1774) and 0106224 (1766), that I need to check to get some comfort.
2. William Maddrell, b. 1715, son of above, married 1742 to Margaret Kewley. Possible wills: 0106229 (1784), 0106402 (1790), 0106407 (1708), 0106225 (1771), 0106396 (1779) and0106230 (1787) in Rushen.

3. Thomas Maddrell b 1760 m. 1786 to Catherine Keig in Rushen.

4. Margaret Maddrell b. 1786 m. 1809 to Alexander French in Rushen.
5. Agnes French b. 1821 m. 1841 to John Christian in Liverpool. Both were born in Rushen.

I would be interested to learn your information When I check the films, I will let you know the results.
Goood luck
Bruce
