Whilst looking on the internet in desperate search of info for Finlo and Oates Cretney, I happened across Darrin Lythgoe's site which stated the following:-

Could it be that this is our Oates Cretney and a second 'wife'? The bpt date for Oates Snr differs but am unable to confim this anyhow, but the bpt date for Oates Jnr ties in. It would explain the problem with Oates Jnr having been born after Christian Fargher's death and his not being mentioned therein.

Or am I just clutching at straws???
