Re: killips
In Response To: Re: killips ()

Hello Eric
I have spent hours going over whatever I could find on the Killips. I have the line of descent from William b.c.1570 ( married Christian Cowley )--William b.c.1605 ( married Katherine Cannon and Unknown )--John b.c. 1631 ( married Unknown )--Here is where I have a problem as I have Patrick b.c.1626 (married Mally or Maisie ) and Patrick b.c.1648 ( married Christian Loanney ) both as sons of John (1631 )
My line goes down through the Patrick ( 1626 )married to Mally, then their son Patrick b c.1687 who married Isabel Quay. It is certainly a puzzle. So much easier if we had less used names down the families. I thought the Skillicorns were complicated but these Killips are more so. I may give up on them for a while and try a new name .I seem to have a large number of the Manx names in my tree to choose from. I don't have easy access to a lot of info and rely on what I can gather from the IGI and LDS ancestral files or any info I get from people like yourself , kind enough to pass on what they have . Hope you are having better luck.

Jean
