Re: killips and Skillicorns
In Response To: Re: killips and Skillicorns ()

Hello Eric
I have been going over my Killip connections again after I saw your response. I found Patrick Killip and Christian Loaney as parents of the Patrick who married Isabel Quay,on a couple of sites and the line of descent matched what I already had so I have put them in. The only difference I find is on one site the spouse is given as Mally or Maisie, with 11 children. Since I found Christian as the spouse I have only found 3 children for her. Maybe there was a previous marriage for either one of them and this is where the other children come from. The birth date of our Patrick is given as two different ones on 2 sites (6 Oct.1626 + 27 Mar.1648 ) All the other details are the same for both versions. It's like diving into a lucky dip at a carnival. You never know what you will grab.I am having fun with sorting out my Manx people though. Would you believe I have about 8 John Skillicorns , not to mention all the Anns and Janes.
Hope some of this helps you .
My line of descent is down through Ann who married John Skillicorn. Their Margaret married John Cowin and had daughter Isabella who was my great Grandmother.I have some details on the Killips and children from my line.
