Yes, I remember copying from the originals in the Manx Museum in the 1970s. Their jottings ended in 1922. Reputedly they were reliable on Peel families in their own time, but the farther away you got in time and place, the less relaiable they were.
Edmund Goodwin was the author of First Lessons in Manx, a highly concentrated grammar-based course first published in 1901 and still in print and in the shops a few years ago.
