1871 census gives at Hillington Sq.:
Thomas Curran (transcription of Carran?) 14 b. Ramsey, Assistant in San Yard?,
Isabella 49 charwoman b. Leyzare
John 51 Mason b Malew
Robert 21 plasterer b Douglas
John 14 b. Douglas Assistant in San Yard?,

1861 census gives at 9 Cheshire Street, Douglas:
Thomas Kannan (or Karvan or Karran) b. Douglas, age 4 living with
John 43, stone mason 43 b.Malew,
Bell (Isabella) 40 b. Leyzare,
Robert 11,
John 8 b Douglas.

There is a Thomas Karran, born to John (& Jane?) in Ramsey, christened on November 21 1858. and a Robert Karran born to Jon (& Isabella), christened on December 23, 1849 at St. Barnabas Douglas.
I find no trace of a marriage or of John Jr's christening.
There is a christening for a John George in on June 15 1820 in Malew son of Catherine Carran and George Edwards.
