Re: Manchester Cathedral Church

Bob

that was fantastic. and greatly appreciated . I am familiar with both the churches you speak of in Cleveland and realize now that this might be why they chose to live on Newman Ave in Cleveland Ohio. It seems it was and perhaps still is a tight nit community.

I ran across my grandmother's brothers will recently and noticed that he left a sizable donation to the Manx relief fund . Do you have any idea what this organization might be. My wording might be a little off as those records are burried in my mind and physically 200 miles away so they are not easily accessed at the moment.

I also found many pictures of the Manchester Cathedral. It looks beautiful. I saw that it was built on an ancient church site. It was rebuilt after the bombing raids of WWII, add on to occasionally, damaged by an IRA bombing in 1996.... It has quite a history.

I also found a photo taken in 1880 a year after my Ggrandmother was baptized. IT must really have been quite a site in 1879 with horse drawn carriages and so on.

Again thank you all you are very kind in sharing your knowledge and time.
