As someone who has lived all his life in the Manchester area and researching my family there - there was a Manx community in and around the city - they landed in Liverpool and followed work inland to the next big city - Manchester. Manchester Cathedral is in the centre of the city behind a number of new and large shopping developments - and because it is not a large church is easily overshadowed by the modern buildings. It does not look like a Cathedral! A number of Manx emigrant families were baptised and married there!
