My husband's great-grandfather came to the US at age 24 from Isle of Man, but we don't know where on the island. His parents were named as William & Emma Cannan in his obituary in a 1912 newspaper in Ohio. He came to the US in 1866 at age 24; William was born Feb 18, 1842. He died in Richland County, Ohio, USA.
