My GGG Grandparents had six children. Three of them born before they married and all three given her maiden name.
However, there is no record of their deaths. I have looked under her married name and think I found all of them exept my GG Grandmother who retained her 'given' surname.
Was it common, if likely at all, in the 1880's - early 1900's for children to be given the fathers surname after marriage even though they were born under the mothers maiden name?
