I think I must have met your Mom & grandad at Allan Kellys in Carlsbad 1982 when I visited San Diego.
Since then I have had some contact with a Schaeffer relative, but Emily Switters & I assume Alan K. have both passed away.
Several of the William Kelly branch [Matthew Kelly's brother] who are mostly still LDS are very good at genealogy + have done considerable research + genealogy. Most recently on John + Elizabeth in Nauvoo.
