I just found the record I had been looking for. It was in the Ships Transcribers Guild site. It listed Thomas Quilliam as "John", but the rest of the family was all the same as I have and the ages were very close to the birth dates I have.
I also found a letter on that site that was written by a William Tear, whose family had immigrated to Ohio, USA. It told how well he liked the new land and told of all the opportunity and freedoms and wealth. The letter was sent to family members, but then published in the local newspaper. I believe this letter encouraged many Manx families to sail for the new world and they seemed to end up in the NE part of Ohio, where Mr Tears' family was. There is a whole section on this site of Isle of Man passengers.
Anyone with Manx ancestors who were in OH, USA, should read this letter. If their families came between 1826-1830, they need to see this information.
Thank you for all your help on this family. I still have not found the birth records for 3 of the daughters, including my ancestor. The ones I am needing are children of Thomas (?John) Quilliam and Carolina Catherine Clucas: Elizabeth born about 1811/12, Margaret or Mary, born about 1811/12 (could be twins, as they were listed as the same age on the passenger list), and Catherine born about 1814/15. The rest of the children were born in Marown except the youngest who was recorded iin Kirk German.
I appreciate all the help I get from people on this forum.
Thank you, Claire
