Corlett family

Looking for information on my 3x great grandmother's family. She was born Catherine Corlett abt. 1810 (per the IGI) in Peel but some accounts say Patrick - what does this mean and which would be correct? Also it states that she was christened in Ramsey on May 6, 1810. Isn't that a distance from Peel? Her parents were listed as William Corlett and Ann Cashin. Following William Corlett back on the IGI, I see he was born abt. 1775 in Lezayre to William Corlett and Catherine Kneen. And then the aforementioned are on the IGI as well, with William Corlett being b. abt. 1747 in Lezayre.

What further can I learn about this Corlett line? Why are the birth years "about" - were they not collected from church records? How far back can one go on the IOM? Would I assume then that this Corlett line originated in Lezayre? Sorry for all the questions but I've got alot to learn about Manx genealogy.

Thanks for your time.
