My impression was that they used the school admission register to provide the address and sent out letters to past pupils to glean subsequent biographical info (no doubt Univ careers would have been fed back into the archives at the time, these university mentions might well provide further confirmation as they too usually give family address) - but many of the pupils of King Billy's had no Manx connection - it was a lower cost public school than many in England
