Re: The "Christiana"

I searched Google.com for "Schooner Christiania" and came up with a site for a company called Hoegh who appear to be a shipping line. The following has their newsmagazine "Hoegh Dialogue" No. 4 2000.

An article there mentions a social event held on the Schooner Christiania and it seems a vessel of that name still exists. I got the impression that she may be the vessel you mention, now preserved like so many old ships, and relying on tourism and leasing to cover her costs of maintenance.

I could not read the entire article but gather she was berthed in a Scandinavian port and, of course, the name Christiania was that used for the capital of Sweden (?) in days gone by.

The fact that she may possibly exist may be of use to you if her old records are still accessible.
