Presumeably you have looked for an obituary in the Manx Papers (all on microfilm in Manx Museum) of the period ?
The only reference I have to name is to David Elliston Allen who wrote a book on the Flora of the IoM published in 1969 (+ another co-authored with Larch Garrad)
