thank you so much for your reply and information.
I had rather a late last night and searched the IGI, I also came across this
family who looked the most likely candidates for Ellen's family and matched
exactly to her sister Catherine Ann Kays or Keys formerly Moore in the 1881
census. I couldn't find any others that fit the picture so well in Santon.
Obviously I need certificates to confirm this but it's nice to have a
starting point and great that you too singled them out as a possible. I feel
Sarah Ellen was named in memory of her older sister Sarah who must of died
as you wouldn't have 2 daughters with the same name but I'm aware it was the
decent thing to do back then, I think she may well of gone by her middle
name of Ellen, Sarah being a token gesture. This again wasn't unusual as a
lot of people where known by their middle names my dad included :-)
