The first thing is to get a map - the UK Ordnance Survey Land ranger sheet 97 covers the IoM but the best is the 2-sheet 1:25,000 Isle of Man Public Rights of Way and Outdoor Leisure Map available from any Manx Book shop (eg try MNH bookshop at enquiries@mnh.gov.im who will supply mail order with credit card).
To find all Maughold property owned by Kinnish family try Woods Atlas - this is on Mormon microfilm though the map may be not very readable however the tables will give you property holdings - try then the 1858 Manorial roll (also on microfilm) and work back following the property (if you want to be good use Lib Vast (also on Microfilm) but this is not particularly useful until mid 18th C. Do as much preparatory work as possible before setting foot in Manx Museum so you know what to look for in the Island records - more Manx records than you imagine are on Mormon microfilm.
