In a book I have by Constance Radcliffe it says "6.11.1894. Steam trawler "Albatross" Capt. Edward Shimmin, owner Mr R Knox of Douglas, fishing off Mackeral Point, Bahama Bank, just outside the Bay, was run down and sunk by the "Duke of Clarence" carrying passengers and cargo between Belfast and Fleetwoo. Five of the crew of 8 were drowned, including the Captain's son and his half brother John Leadbeater. An official enquiry laid the blame on the "Duke of Clarence" Is this YOUR "Albatross??????
