Elizabeth Kermode, 1873, and her sister, Martha, 1868, were born in Liverpool, England as stated on their birth certificates. The other three sisters, Annie, Emily "Millie", and Josephine Daisy "Josie" were born in Ohio as stated on their birth certificates. Family originally came from the IOM. We don't have much more about other relatives in the USA. We assume here that Daniel their father, died in Ohio and that the mother, Martha, and her five daughters moved to St. Louis, MO possibly to live with relatives on her side. We can not find any birth or death information on the parents. Somehow, the names Gill, Corkhill, Caine, Kermode, Quirk are connected with this group of people in IOM, Liverpool, Rochester, NY, Cleveland, Ohio, St. Louis, MO, and Michigan and Idaho. I read that Gill built many buildings in Ohio and also the Missouri capitol building. Gill was born in IOM. He moved to Cleveland. And, from what I can gather, it may be that several carpenters/joiners, stone masons, and others may have moved to Ohio to work for this person. His son was Kermode Gill. I don't know of any other relatives with this family.
