Servicemen are usually commemorated on the memorial of the locality from which they came or lived. Would not Edgar Bailey's name appear on the memorial of the parish of Jurby if that is where he was from?
It is just possible that he served at the RAF station at Jurby and was not actually a native of Jurby parish. The majority of airmen at Jurby were not of Manx origin.
