Edgar Bailey and family - RAF served 2nd World War

Redmarley Parish Council in Gloucestershire, England, is researching names on its War Memorial. Flt Sgt Edgar Bailey 981536 39 Sqdn RAF Volunteer Reserve who died age 23 on 10 July 1942 is commemorated on it. He came from Jurby, his father was called Ernest and was a traveller. He married an Ethel Aurelia Mumby on 1 January 1942 in Redmarley Church.

We are having the W Memorial restored and a rededication service is to be held. We wish to invite as many families as we can trace to the service. It is also hoped that any of Edgar Bailey's family might have knowledge of his widow Ethel Bailey who moved from Redmarley to Bristol in 1943.

Can you give us any help on the above.

Maureen Diss
Clerk to Redmarley Parish Council
