Willie (William Henry) Kneale of Albany Road was a son of William Henry Kneale Grocer of Douglas & Peel by his (first?) wife Elizabeth Gell of Peel.
Willie and his first wife Florence Adelaide Kelly (d. 1946)had three children William Kneale, Joyce Kneale and Mary Kneale. I understand they were all off the Island & none married. One was in a religious order.
Willie re-married to Kathleen Cringle, a charming lady who survived her husband many years.
Elizabeth Gell was a first cousin of my great-grandmother Quine. Her parents were Thomas Gell of Peel (1837-1883) and his wife Elizabeth Faragher (d. 1923).
Thomas Gell was a younder son of William Gell of Ballelby, Patrick (1794-1858) and Isabella Mylchreest (1797 - 1858)
After Eliz. Gell died William Henry Kneale re-married and had a large family in Douglas. Includes the late Deemster Sydney Kneale & his son the late Peter Kneale Advocate, Harry Kneale Accountant & his daughter Mrs M. Vaughan, the Kennedy and Brackett families to my knowledge.
