To His Worship Richard Jebb Esquire Vicar General.
The humble petition of Henry Goldsmith (brother) and John
Kneale(brother in law) executors of Daniel Goldsmith deceased and
Margaret Goldsmith (sister) and the said John Kneale and Henry
Goldsmith.
Sheweth - That at a special Ecclesiastical Court held at Douglas on the
tenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and seventy John Crellin
Goldsmith(brother) and William Garrett of Ramsey were duly sworn
administrators of the estate and effects of Daniel Goldsmith the younger
of the said two deceased.
That the said John Crellin Goldsmith(brother) subsequently departed this
life leaving his co-administator William Garrett him surviving.
That the said William Garrett recently departed this life without having
fully administered the estate of the said Daniel Goldsmith, the younger,
deceased and it is necessary that Letters of Administration de bonis non
of the said estate should be granted to some fit and proper person.
That petitioners beg to propose that the said Henry Goldsmith be sworn
administrator of the said estate as aforesaid.
Wherefore petitioners pray a hearing hereof and that your worship may
be pleased to grant administration de bonis non as aforesaid of the
estate of the said Daniel Goldsmith the younger deceased to the said
Henry Goldsmith or to some other fit and proper person as to your
worship may seem meet and petitioners will pray. C. B. Nelson for

Ordered that this petition do come to be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court
to be held at Ramsey on Friday the 11th day of February 1876 at Eleven o'
clock in the forenoon whereof all proper parties and persons are to have
due and lawful notice.

At an Ecclesiastical Court held at Ramsey on the 11th day of February
1876.
Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their
advocates. And upon production of a certified copy of the Letters of
Administration of the estate of Daniel Goldsmith junior decease who
died on or about the 25th day of February 1870, granted by this court on
the 10th day of March 1870, to John Crellin Goldsmith a brother of the
deceased and William Garrett and it being this day proved that the said
John Crellin Goldsmith and William Garrett had both died without having
fully administered the said estate. And upon consideration had thereof.
This Court hath decreed Letters of administration de bonis non of the
estate of the said Daniel Goldsmith Junior late of the town of Ramsey in
the parish of Maughold deceased to be granted to Henry Goldsmith a
brother of the said deceased. And accordingly he is sworn well and truly
to administer all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said
deceased left unadministered by the siad John Crellin Goldsmith and
William Garrett by paying the lawful unpaid debts and funeral expenses
of the deceased so far forth as his unadministered estate and effects
will thereto extend and the law bind him and distributing the residue
thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this
Diocese of Sodor and Man a full true and perfect inventory of All and
Singular the said unadministered estate and effects with an accurate
account of his administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required.
And to these ends he hath given pledges namely Thomas Allen Junior of
Ballaworrey in the parish of Andreas and John Kneale of
Ballalheaney(Meadow Farm) in the parish of Andreas, who have entered
into and executed the usual Bond in the presence of the court.
DECRETUM EST R. JEBB
In the matter of the application for administration de bonis non of the
estate of Daniel Goldsmith Junior deceased.
In Ecclesiastical Court we the undersigned next of kin of the said Daniel
Goldsmith deceased do hereby admit to have received notice of such
application and do hereby consent that administration of the said estate
be granted to Henry Goldsmith as therein prayed for. Witness our names
this 6th February 1876.
