Re: Caroline KERMODE
In Response To: Re: Caroline KERMODE ()

Dear Clive:

Firstly, I must thank you for looking at my posting and answering me. I am truly losing hope that I will ever find my Gr. Grandmother of whom I actually met twice in my life. Again, thank you!!!!

I know my Gr.Grandma used to be called Carrie. She was a lovely woman, strict with elbows on the table, but a true gem. I have her birth cert. for 1896. I know she lived in Birkenhead, as she married my Gr.Grandfather in 1918. Please pardon me if this is wrong...I believe it changed to Wallasey. She became pregnant prior to her marriage and rumor has it that her family was certainly not pleased.

The only thing I have to go on is her birth cert. and of course her marriage and all information to the present date. Her father is noted as William on her birth cert. but the father is left blank on her marriage cert. Unless it is a transcription error in regards to Caroline age 12 in 1901, I would have to be honest and say that I don't believe it is my Grandma.

Again, I thank you for your time and understanding.
Sincerely;
Cas
