According to A.W.Moore John Moore owned the Abbey in 1607. His son Charles married Elizabeth Lucas in 1626. Their known children were John, Thomas (MHK), Catherine and Alice.

From J.G.Cumming “Brown Willis, in his History of Monasteries, says that, in 1553, there remained in charge the following pensions, viz., to Henry Jackson the Abbot, £10; James More, John Allowe, and Richard Nowell, £2 13s. 4d. each.”

The line from Charles Moore and Elizabeth Lucas is fairly clear but the connections before Charles father John are not. The only mention of earlier ancestors is Johanne A. Moore in the 1540 Computus and Colonel Sir Thomas Moore “received the grant of the Abbey of Rushen on its confiscation in 1540” as mentioned by A.W.Moore.
