Gill: It would depend on what you're looking for in particular. I went back to the 1901 and tried several types of searches, including the Advanced name search, and the place search, without any success. It would appear he wasn't included in the census for any number of reasons. (Maybe someone else has a better method of using the 1901 than I and would be willing to check for you). Also, if you know what his occupation was, that might be of some help.
