many thanks for your reply, i wasn,t sure if the isle of man was covered by the england and wales 1901 census, arthur bertie aston is his full name and he was born in buxton, reg dis chapel en le frith, derbyshire, i did check the census for him but drew a blank as none of them were born in buxton, he did actually die in the isle of man in 1941 aged 60 odd, he was born in 1879, could you help in any other was with advice as to where to look next. many thanks.
