Yes, four legacies of £300 plus a possibly large residue to Mary's husband would have been substantial in 1799.
This is a new area for me and I'm unsure what other documents there might be. Possibly relating to the trusts? But where on earth might they be residing?
Unfortunately, I don't have a death or burial date. The nearest I can get is that she is shown to have declared her will on 25th Sept. 1799 and the will, which opens by referring to her as deceased, is dated 10th Oct. 1799, so it seems she must have died between these dates. The will also refers to her as 'of Douglas', but I've not found her burial there. I'm waiting for the Braddan film.
I hope someone can suggest a possible path to follow.
