Can anyone tell me what this has been through the centuries?
I just posted a message in response to someone else's enquiry and note on two marriage certificates I have for the 1880s one gives the female's age as 'minor' the other 'full age'.
I don't what these mean though surmise the latter could freely marry and the former possibly had to have her parents permission.
